History of Napier Community Church
Napier Methodist Episcopal Church opened in 1905 with the help of the Ames Methodist Episcopal Church and the consolidation of two Sunday Schools meeting at the Jones Schoolhouse and the Elwood Schoolhouse. Eventually the name was changed to Napier United Methodist Church to identify with the United Methodist Conference and, in 2023, the decision was made to become Napier Community Church.

Our church has a strong history of God’s faithfulness, and we look to the future with the hope and confidence that God still has a purpose for us. That purpose is to present the Good News of Jesus Christ; teach the Word of God faithfully and fully; and develop a group of people who faithfully serve in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our church is simple in format and simply committed to the Bible and its message for today. We present Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever. We welcome you to visit our small church setting. You can help us grow and preserve the beautiful presence of Jesus Christ and His Church in Napier and East Boone County.
Statement of Faith
Our church stands in agreement with the Statement of Faith of the National Association of Evangelicals and such historic creeds as the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed. Additionally, we embrace the Five Solas of the Reformation: Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone), Sola Gracia (Grace Alone), Sola Fide (Faith Alone), Solus Christus (Christ Alone), and Soli Deo Gloria (Glory to God Alone).
